I cannot believe the amazing turnout in the last 2 weeks. I had over 250 links between the two weeks to go through. Don't get me wrong - the only tough job is just picking a few to highlight, I love, LOVE seeing all this fabulous creativity collected all in one place.
First, some viewers' choices:
Sky at Capital B shared a tutorial for these simple and bright matchbook-style notepads. Apparently, notepads are very popular, as the second-most-viewed link from last week's party was Carlee from Ladybird Ln.'s Back-to-School Locker Magnets which also have a handy stash of post-it notes.
This week, the top clicks were for Lauryn's zig-zag twist hair tutorial over at love notes by lauryn:
And Rachel's beautiful embroidered art for her daughter's nursery! You can find her at Lines Across My Face. And get this - she confesses that she has never really done embroidery before, so don't be intimidated by the beauty of this project, she shows us even a beginner can do it. :)
Now for some of my faves! Mary at Sweetwater Style shared her tips for saving money on wedding flowers DIY-style. I did my own bouquets with fresh flowers for my wedding too, and I couldn't agree more - if you are a flexible bride (as Mary points out as well), you can do this with beautiful results for a fraction of the cost!
Another link I was really intrigued by was one that Jenilyn over at Grits and Giggles shares with us, a tutorial on distressed art. If you missed this, check it out!
I love the eye-candy necklace that Terri at A Creative Princess made from candy-themed magnets scored from the dollar section! This one is simple, innovative, and easy on the budget - a great project for a kid (or just a kid-at-heart)!
How can you not smile at this one? I had so much fun reading this post by Mom E and the Joyful Three - she shared their car-themed family fun night.
And can you believe these chocolate cookie peanut butter cups? I'm not sure whether to thank Something Swanky for sharing or not... these look delectably dangerous!!
And for a lot of you out there who grow your own vegetables, I know it's full-on zucchini season. If you're at a loss for what else to do with all that zucchini, I thought the Joyful Baker had a pretty ingenious idea to try, what about some zucchini cake sandwich cookies? They look awfully yummy for veggies!!
