So even though this is a 2-ingredient recipe (three, if you count buns), it's one of our favorites. And favorites are meant to be shared!
Pulled Pork Sandwiches
- 3-4 lbs. pork loin, fat trimmed off (you can also use chicken, if your family prefers it!)
- 16 oz. bottle of BBQ sauce (our family uses Sweet Baby Ray's Original)
The key is finding a sauce that everyone loves - not too hot, not too mild for your tastes - so that you don't have to add any additional ingredients (although you can - I insist that a little brown sugar never hurt anyone, but that's up to you!) Also, we like our meat to be really saucy (obviously, LOL) so I never use more than 3 lbs. of meat for one bottle of sauce.
BBQ goes great with coleslaw (so great, in fact, that there was none left by the time I had a chance to take a photo, LOL) and it warms up wonderfully for lunch leftovers!
What are your easy, go-to recipes?

Mmmmm,...pulled pork is one of my favourite weaknesses. I should have had a bigger lunch before reading your post, lol. For go-to recipes, I love to whip up soups with whatever is on hand, or stews if I get distracted and leave them on the stove too long. ;) I also just love roasted veggies with some goat cheese and a piece of crusty loaf. Now I'm insanely hungry.
ReplyDeleteThat looks simply delicious! I love pulled pork and I'm always looking for new recipes! Thank you so much for sharing at Mix it up Monday :)
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I love pulled pork. I could eat it without the bun. haha. Thanks for making me hungry da'ling!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea, to take photos, this looks delicious. You can also through your favorite cola in there (root beer, dr. pepper, etc.) And it helps tenderizes the meat, and gives it a little flavor.
